I hope to not know you, to meet you someday soon, to be something new for you.
I enjoy creating and performing art --
specifically when a variety of forms, spaces and mediums are utilized to enhance one's sense of beauty and limitlessness. Or a group's indeterminable nature. Whichever helps us feel most alive together.
My intention is to cultivate a community of artists who feel called to change this industry and heal in the process of dismantling it.
I'm also stepping back and shutting up, as there is a lot of unpacking and unlearning occurring within my body, mind and soul. Addressing and dismantling my white privilege is an active, daily pursuit -- accountability has become my deepest intention.
Some plays I have written are called Boyband, Belly, Ded Trippin, Elephant House, and RAD!
Recently, I performed in Judgment Day, directed by Richard Jones at the
Park Avenue Armory, as well as a short film directed by Olivia Wilde and a horror film titled Shrine, produced by Sam Raimi.
Some artists who inspire me are: Modesto Flako Jimenez, Aleshea Harris, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Annie Baker, Gertrude Stein, Kaneza Schaal, Jeremy O' Harris, Lila Neugebauer, Ashley Tata, Agnes Varda, FKA Twigs, SZA, Pablo Picasso, Paperboy Prince, Suzan-Lori Parks, Tina Satter and everyone at Half Straddle, Will Arbery, Mekhai Lee, Dyer Rhoads, Chris Holtkamp, Nile Harris, Tyler the Creator, Nikyla Boxley, Malik Childs, Katie Weinstein, all of UNCSA '19, Emily DeForest, Jake Bellew, John Curtis,
